I built a 220 liter ported Tempest tube sub. I have yet to purchase an amp. I originally planned to buy a QSC, but I hate fan noise, I even hate the noise of my DVD player. So I decided to move up to a Crown K1 or K2 so I would have no noise problems. I know these would be way to much power, but I suspect I will probably build another power hungry sub before too long, so I would get the use out of the amp then.

But maybe I would be better of getting a 250 plate amp for the tempest and buy the new amp when I build the new sub. Can the Tempest in a 220 liter ported enclosure use more than 250 watts?

What to do?

The answer is aaahhh probably :)
Depends on the size of the room, how much room gain you get, and how loud you want it to play.
