Another DVI Question (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, I know I have asked a couple questions about DVI, but I have one more. OK, I bought the samsung Directv receiver because i got it for free and it has DVI output and my Tv has a HDMI input. The monster cable I want to get is DVI-D, which according to you guys does not carry analog video. Now does this mean I have to run an S-video cable separately for when I'm not watching High Definition. For example if I want to watch channel 206, which is regular ESPN. Thanks guys

There should be options in the setup for handling SD over the DVI / HDMI connection.
