I recently bought a yamaha rx-v530 receiver which I am very happy with, and am now going about purchasing new speakers. I have already purchased a B&W ASW300 sub which is performing beautifully and is a great little 8" sub. In the store that I was auditioning speakers, I was very impressed with a setup that included an ASW300, 602.5 mains, 601 surrounds, and an LCR 60 centre (all s3) (which I listened to for about an hour). However, after reading several previous threads about the 600 series b&ws, I find that most people prefer the 602s used as mains, rather than the 602.5. I haven't had a chance to hear the 602s in length and am curious to hear if anyone has compared the 602 and 602.5 Also, in your opinion, would much be gained in using 602 surrounds also? I am quite new to HT, but estimate I would use the system for 60% music, %40 HT. Thanks for any thoughts/experiences you could share. Liam Shanahan.
