Just a reminder that there will be an solar eclipse today. For more information about this eclipse here's one website. They have a Link Removed and a Link Removed showing exactly where the eclipse will be viewable and to what degree.
This is exciting for me because it will be the first eclipse my kids get to see (I've been teaching my son about the phases of the moon and the rotation of the moon and earth around the sun), it's also the last one the US will see until 2005, and...we're going in to the hospital today to have a baby (at the exact time of the eclipse). So I'm going to get a pin hole viewer set up for my mother-in-law to show my kids, and I'll make a second for the hospital (hopefully we'll get a west facing room).
The website I linked to above will also have a webcam setup for those who aren't in the area for seeing it.

Thanks Bill. It would have been truely splendid had it not been cloudy and storming all day/evening where I live. :frowning: Maybe we'll catch it in better weather in 2005.

I didn't get to see it...didn't have a west facing window. :frowning: But we did have a TV in the room and I got to see it on the news. :D
And that wasn't the best news...more to come!
