Annoying DVD player problem!! (1 Viewer)

Hi.

I have a Sony DVP-NS300 stand alone DVD player. On every DVD I play the whole screen seems to get lighter and darker all of the time.

It only does this when I am watching a DVD. I can noticibly see it better if I pause the DVD. The whole screen will be bright then it will dimm very noticibly.

I was wondering if this is a solvable problem with AV cables or something.

Macrovision. Are you running the video signal through your vcr? It needs to go straight to your display device (or receiver). If your display device doesn't have any video inputs you can use an RF modulator available at Wal-Mart or Radio Shack.

I'm running it through the VCR.

The reason I stopped using the RF Modulator is because it gave the screen horrible static lines.

Rather than running DVD thru the VCR you should get a switch box so they can both be connected directly to the TV but one at a time.

Yup, you can't run a DVD player through a VCR. Maybe a better RF modulator?
