Hmmm

Yay?
This may explain why Sony suddenly (and supposedly temporarily) suspended their disc registration program, as the free movie redemption was handled by the Sony Pictures Store site. I highly suspect that ULTRA will be the next to shut down completely, as I find the app a useless mess to navigate ever since they decided it was a good idea to list EVERY SINGLE MOVIE in my UV library, even though I'm supposed to know that I can only view Sony titles on the app. As if the average Joe really knows or cares what studio owns a particular movie.

That's even better as I bought it at $9.99 back when it first reduced in price.
I own it in HDX on Vudu but decided to upgrade to 4K/Dolby Vision at that price.

Contemplating buying Hereditary for $9.99 as I type this. Love that film.

In 4K/UHD?
Not sure, as I just noticed today that it showed up under the new to watch for free category. Finding 4K content on Amazon can be a pain in the ass, so I haven’t looked. However, if someone has not seen the film yet, a free HDX stream may be desirable instead of making a blind purchase.

This film isn’t something I would personally pay for as a blind buy, but I may check it out for free.

I need an RCR!

Out of that list, what’s a good western that’s in HDX on Vudu but not on Blu-ray?

Considering most new release rentals on iTunes are in the $5.99 - $6.99 range on the first week, I don't think it would be realistic to expect anything lower than that for a purchase.
And conversely, that's the most I'll pay for a purchase, for the same reason. I don't trust that my digital streaming purchases will be available for the long haul, so I wouldn't want to pay more for a purchase than I would for a one-time rental.

Hmmm

Yay?
Thanks for the heads up! Got my free movie.

I chose The Water Horse.
Me too!
