I really enjoyed “Angel”, sure some of the plots are familiar but it does feel fresh. If you’re a fan of ‘60s sitcoms, it’s worth picking up volume 1, you won’t be disappointed. The cast, guest stars, and crew were all top notch, and it shows. It’s a shame this series isn’t better known.

Plus, ClassicFix gave us near pristine transfers, directly from 35mm and the set includes original network opens and commercials.

Right, some familiar plots, but Thompson’s laid back performance along with Annie’s accent , lack of understanding on how things were done in the US, and wacky the situations do give it a fresh feel.
I never saw this show when it first aired.
I was able to get hold of lousy quality gray area release of the complete series and enjoyed it quite a bit . But seeing it in this quality is a revelation.

It’s worth the blind buy, for sure, if you’re into classic sitcoms. And I wouldn’t be put off by this being DVD rather than Blu-ray—the quality is great.

i will say this, you might not binge this one. Watch a couple of episodes, then give it a break for a day, then go back.

The series started out pretty strong and continued through the season. There are a few so so episodes, but that’s any first season, really. But some of the best episodes are still to come.

Especially James Garner in The French Lesson. Movie bound was Jim after he parted ways with Warners and the Maverick series.

If you like shows like I Married Joan, Pete And Gladys, December Bride, or My Little Margie you’ll like Angel.

Here's hoping enough people purchase this and we get the entire series out.
Sales have been disappointing on Volume 1, but not bad enough to cancel the entire series, however, the better sales are for the series, and our label in general, the faster new releases can come out.

We're hoping to have Volume 2 out in the early fall.
