With the box office receipts we've seen for The Dark Knight and Iron Man, it's unlikely that Hollywood is going to slow down on the comic book films. They'll milk every penny out of the genre.
You're most likely correct, as Hollywood is unlikely to see the connection between quality film making and box office receipts and instead see only the comic book as the common denominator.
Says who? The grosses for both movies @ this point are identical (~$132 million), and the 2008 film hasn't even finished its theatrical run yet. The figure for the 2003 Hulk was as of September 2003. I'll wait and see what The Incredible Hulk's grosses are in September before jumping to conclusions.
