All,

I need help. I completely do not understand this past season's final two episodes (Part 1 and Part 2) about Arkology. I understand the Abyss and the Route of Ages and its entrance but what is the Paradine(sp?) and what in the world happened to Dillon? How does all this tie in together?

Andromeda has become one of my favorite shows. I had not even heard of it until almost 2 years ago. I've seen everything up until the end of Season 3. I've missed quite a bit of Season 4 and am darn anxious for Season 5 to start.

What with Stargate: SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, Andromeda, Battlestar Galactica and Farscape I'm just about in TV heaven. :D

I work evenings, including most Fridays. Scheduling my recordings is going to be a hassle, what with Enterprise, Andromeda, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis AND Monk...all on Friday nights! Thank goodness for same-night repeats, season breaks, multiple VCRs, and my beloved PVR. The REAL hassles won't actually start until January, when EVERYTHING should be in full swing again. Sheesh! LOL!

Thanks for the links Linda. Those synopses helped a lot.

It seems that Season 5 is going to be themed more towards the Wild West but with the same mission as before
. Interesting.

Glad they helped with the details!

Season 5 should be pretty good. Since it's the final season (and Sorbo is already shopping around for a new show), they can afford to go a bit over-the-top without worrying about having to keep up the storylines or build upon them in the future.

Here's hoping they at least maintain current quality, but ultimately go out with a bang rather than a whimper...

Seriously? "Current quality"?

I wish I actually had a Trance who could take me back in time and whack Tribune execs upside the head, thus preventing them from firing Robert Hewitt Wolfe.

Season one - I miss those days. I'm only going to watch season five out of loyalty to what the show was.

Granted -- that's all a given, and I totally agree. I'd venture to guess that a VAST majority of fans who've watched since the beginning share these sentiments (myself definitely included).

My "current quality" comment was meant only in the sense of "let's hope they don't get totally beyond ridiculous on the way out". Like what happened with the last 3 and a half seasons of "The X-Files". In that particular case, I lost almost all respect for a show which I had once greatly appreciated.

As bad as Andromeda's "current quality" is..compared with the RHW era...it really could be worse. But, with what I've been reading and hearing, I'm maintaining hope that it won't sink any further than it already has.

SCI FI does it again.

I've been watching SCI FI's Tuesday night broadcasts of "Andromeda" as a way to catch up on all the prior seasons so I can make sense of the current season 5 on Fridays. I go to watch it last Tuesday only to see that movies are scheduled for the 7-11 PM slot. I check SCI FI's web site and find that Tuesday night is movie night and no notice as to what happened to "Andromeda" night. I come to find out that this started the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week (I did not notice then as I was on vacation). I've grown to like this show and am really bummed by this.

I guess SCI FI feels that the "Stargate" franchise, which I also like, is the bedrock of its network (Mondays 7-11, Mon-Fri at 6, and Fridays 8-10).

I would love to see "SG" Monday, "Andromeda" Tuesday, and a "Farscape" Wednesday ("Peackeeper Wars" whetted my appetite).

Oh well.

I'm still watching because it's hard not to look at a train wreck. This season has completely jumped the shark and turned into "Hercules in space". One has to wonder what sort of budget they have.
