Android Media Player from China or connect the tablet to the TV? (1 Viewer)

Dear Home Theater Forum,

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 that plays all sorts of video files except BD-ISO or maybe DVD-ISO. At the same time, there are several Android Media Players that come from China all touting specs of Android 4.4, HDMI 1.4, 2GB RAM, 8 or 16 GB memory, quad core Cortex A9 processor, 4K video playback, USB ports, and XBMC. Turns out I have a little better than that on my Android tablet. What do you suggest would be the best cost effective option for watching so much content on your TV from Android? Buy an Android Media Player from China or buy a micro USB to HDMI adapter that connects the tablet to the TV?
