The In the Future page is back up at the Anchor Bay website after an absence of several months; looks like they're getting their act together again following the sale of the company.

Sledge Hammer, Dawn of the Dead, Children of the Corn are among the releases scheduled. Check out the full list at the link above.

So many films, so little time...

There are some really interesting titles in that list. I'm astonished, but kind of happy, that they've chosen "Creepshow 2" (too bad they evidently don't have rights to the first) and "Children of the Corn" as their next Divimax titles. And I'd like to check out "The Dead Next Door" as a zombie fan. Plus, "Night of the Demons" and "Sledge Hammer!" will be probable buys for me. Good to see Anchor Bay's new ownership hasn't hurt them any.

I'll definitely be picking up Sledge Hammer! and maybe the Children of the Corn SE since that's always been a guilty pleasure of mine. I don't know if I'll double-dip on Creepshow 2 though.

Hmmm... I don't want to rain on anyones parade, but those first-release titles are pretty lacklustre, save Sledge Hammer. A Divimax SE of Creepshow 2? That's a bit of a stretch. Warner need to remaster the glorious original, though.

I'm sure there are some great titles on the way though.

I'm definitely double dipping on Creepshow 2. I think it is far superior to the rather dull and overrated, but still decent original if only for The Raft alone. I'm also happy to see The Dead Next Door on their schedule. Great zombie flick! I'm also definitely getting The Card Player, Cheerleader Camp, Night of the Demons, Dawn SE, and The Locals.

Hahaha... just noticed their goof in the description of Highlander seasons 5 and 6:

"There can be only one...well in this case there can be only two! Two more seasons that is as Connor MacLeod's adventures come to an exciting end with the releases of the final two seasons of HIGHLANDER from producers William Panzer and Peter Davis starting with Season 5 in late Summer. Expect commentaries, interviews and more TBA."

    Great news!

Creepshow 2 Divimax is a definite buy! I just wish we could get an updated edition for the original, this is gonna make that flimsy snapper look shameful side by side on my shelf display!

It's also about time that we got a proper transfer for Children Of The Corn.

Oh man, Sledge Hammer! and Forgotten Silver will both be mine! [IMG]

I'll also be buying the Dawn of the Dead Uber-SE, but for right now the DIVIMAX DVD is just to DIE for [IMG] [IMG]

Forgotten Silver, eh? I'm already pretty happy with the previous DVD, so I'll wait to see if the reissue merits a purchase.

But for those of you who haven't seen it, I cannot recommend it enough. I feel it's Jackon's third-best effort (after Heavenly Creatures and The Fellowship of the Ring), and one that any fan of film history will love.

The V/A on the previous CREEP and CHILDREN disc was wonderful so an upgrade here would have to be for extras. I prefer CS2 to the original so I'll certainly upgrade on that if there's any sort of extras. If it's just V/A, then I'll stick with what I've got. Hopefully King's MAX OVERDRIVE will get a new 5.1 to show off that AC/DC soundtrack. An uncut print would be nice but I think that is lost for good.

Definitely going to pick up the Dawn set as I held off buying the recently released Divimax disc. Also Forgotten Silver (the current disc is just "went OOP" without notice a while ago) as I've been waiting for that one.

I may or may not get Night of the Demons, I really wish they could release part 2, which was a fantastic and fun sequel.

It's "Witchboard", "Sledge Hammer-Season One" and "Evilspeak" for me.

    Sincerely,

    John Kilduff...

    I'm a sucker for obscure 80s titles.

Nice to see that the remaining Xena and Hercules seasons are all due out this year. [IMG]

Again, I'll state my hope that those seasons filmed in w/s with CGI composed for the w/s frame are given the appropriate anamorphic releases.

Holy moly!! I saw Witchboard many years ago and for some reason, I always thought it was called Ouija!! I never dreamed I would see it on DVD. Thanks Anchor Bay!

I will definitely get the Dawn SE, and perhaps Creepshow 2.

What happened to Wim Wender's UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD 3 disc special edition? They announced it last year, said it would be out this spring, then it disappeared from the site.
