I've been wanting to get the Criterion version of Time Bandits for awhile, but now I learn that Anchor Bay is going to be doing one.

Which one should I get and what's the difference?

    Thanks in advance.

I'll take anaorphic. Anything has to be better than the *terrible* image of the Criterion/previous anchor bay (both used the same transfer/master).

I'll take an anamorphic transfer over commentary too.

me too, i made the mistake of getting the letterbox version becuase i was unaware of the release of the 16x9 version. I think i'll just wait for the film to be released here in Australia and get it in 16x9.
