Sure would like to see this moved to a sooner release!

Patience, friend. This titles was originally scheduled for 2002, then for a while it disappeared completely from the AB web site. I emailed them about this, and was told they were still searching for the best elements available. So, although we may have to wait another year, this DVD is gonna look better than any previous release of the movie.

My VHS copy is wearing thin....

This is probably my Favorite Horror film of all time. Luckily I have this on Laser so that will hold me till the DVD arrives.
