Analog/PCM Question (1 Viewer)

Sorry but the audio sources forum is pretty slow or no one can answer my question. I just got an SACD player and am wondering if I set my listening preference for Analog/PCM to something other than direct (surround, tv analog, etc..) if it will affect my SACD at all. I don't want it to interfere with 2 channel or multichannel SACD listening and was wondering if SACD was even affected by this setting on my Onkyo 595.

Since SACD conversion is being performed by your SACD player, you want to bypass any further DAC in your receiver so I would use direct mode or Analog Bypass mode. I am not familiar with your specific receivers ability to pass through an analog signal however. Hope this helps.
