I'm thinking of getting some Aura Bass Shakers for my couch and I've got 2 questions.

First, is the Pro model that much better than the standard to warrant the extra 25-50 bux on ebay?

Second, what amp do you suggest to power them? I was thinking of getting either the audiosource SW8 or Sony SAWM20 (which is tempting since I have the SAWM40 for my main sub and it does great) and just using the amp to power the 2 shakers.

I'd like to keep it under 150-175 total for everything (well, if I get the standard shakers). Or is the effect just a waste of money?

Grab the Pro model for about $75, and get the 120W plate amp from partsexpress. Should work perfect for you. I have the pro's and regular's and will be selling the regulars soon. I'm currently using a crown Pro amp to power the two. One channel for my array of shakers and the other for my tempest sub. Works out great!

Jeff,

In your reply, you said you were selling the standards and keeping the pros. Could I ask the reason? Do the Pros work that much better? Thanks for any additional info you can give!
