How would it compair to other recievers. I can get it for just over $300. Where could I find a review, and what are some other options for under $350.

    Paul:
I believe the AMC R9 shares of some of the same components as Sherwood Newcastle receivers. The back of the R9 and the remote looks exactly like my Sherwood Newcastle R626. Even the manuals are the same except the R626 doesn't have a built in DTS decoder and it lacks on screen display. The only difference in the specs that I could see is that the R9 has more powerful amps. Also, the R9 is not 96/24 compatible. There are reviews posted on http://audioreview.com and the AMC Website.http://amchome.com Also if you call AMC Tech Support, they can give you more information.
