Selection is pretty disappointing for discs. Seems like much of the same stuff that's on sale every year. I did pick up Alfred Hitchcock Vol 3, Oppenheimer, and Elizabeth.

Not really finding any great deals on physical media.

Thought about I Love Lucy complete DVD set for $26, but I noticed it appears the first two seasons are out on blu ray. Is a complete series blu ray set coming maybe?
I haven't heard anything but that doesn't mean that a complete series set on blu ray won't be announced tomorrow. The first 2 seasons apparently sold less than hoped for but they were originally priced at over $100 a season. Its been 10 years since season 1 was released on blu ray. There have been other classic at least partial B&W TV complete series that have made it to blu ray including the Twilight Zone, Andy Griffith Show, Dick Van Dyke Show, and the upcoming Bewitched so it wouldn't surprise me if an episodes only complete series of I Love Lucy was released but as I said I haven't heard that one is coming. CBS has stopped broadcasting the annual I Love Lucy Christmas which featured the I Love Lucy Christmas episode and a new colorized I Love Lucy episode. Those were broadcast in HD I believe. Probably if there were a blu ray release it would be from existing HD masters.

In the first I Love Lucy Complete DVD there was an extra disk that the later complete DVD set didn't include which featured the "I Love Lucy" movie. This was 3 episodes strung together with new scenes linking the episodes together. Since they couldn't remove the laugh track from the episodes they set the movie at a recording of an I Love Lucy episode. If you have ever seen documentary clips of Desi Arnaz doing an audience warmup and cast introduction, it came from this movie. The movie was never released to theaters because Lucy and Desi signed to make the movie, "The Long Long Trailer" at MGM and MGM did not want a competing movie in theaters. This disc apparently is out of print but available from 3rd parties at Amazon.
Have no idea if it would be upgraded to blu ray if there was a complete set.

Thanks! Maybe I will hold off on purchasing for now. I already got burned on buying Leave it to Beaver before the Blu Ray was released.
