Man, I remember paying $240 for the initial release original series DVDs at Costco and being thrilled at the deal! :)

I want to buy the 3 Star Trek TNG sets. Not sure if I can swing $160 now....

...but it seems like these sets are going up for 50% or more off quite often.
I would think if I held off a little longer until I was in a better position to spend
the money that the same deal could be had.

i found a review at blu-ray.com

there were a lot of amazoners complaining about the cgi on the updated 2007 release.

statements from the blu-ray review

1) both versions (regular and cgi) were on this release ?

2) the main negative was that there were a few extras from the hd version that did not make the blu-ray version ?

are these statements correct ?

i have also heard from posters in the past on this site that too many special effects wires, etc. are evident in high definition ?

what do you guys think about tos in blu-ray ?

I went back-and-forth over spending the money several times
before I caved in and just bought the 3 seasons of Start Trek: TNG
that were on sale.

Figured I would snatch these three seasons up now and then
wait for future sets to drop to the $50 level, which judging by the
amount of times they have already, shouldn't be a long wait.
