Alternative sonotube shapes

    I stumbled upon this website that sells 0.375" thick fiberboard tubing in a variety of shapes. Although the baffle cutouts would be more demanding, some of these look fairly interesting. The 'D' shape would be interesting for amp mounting.

    I don't think they would work. You get ride of the cylinder shape and you destoy what makes a cylinder strong. The material would have to be thicker than 0.375" and you would need to brace it just like a box.

    Actually they showed a cone frustrum on one of the pictures, that woul work.

    The triangle or quarter cirlce would be interesting for stuffing it right into the corner of your room. You could stack them and have a seemless "tower of power".

    Ya they do look pretty cool, but I wonder how strong they are?
