Now, waiting for the Berklines 088 has begun
Its coming together very nicely!
Thanks! Roughly 4 weeks for 3 guys to do the entire basement...
looking very good!!! keep posting pics. I want to see the finished product.
Nice job with the bar and drywall! Did you have prevoius experience with doing arched drywall? Do you have any tips to share?
Anthony, there is really nothing special about doing arches. As you can see, they are made out of plywood, so it's just a matter of attaching the drywall to the them and finishing.
You did an awesome job on your entire basement!
Please keep the pictures coming!
Brian - thanks! As I can see, your setup is not too shabby, either Once I get the seats, I will probably make some acoustic panels for the walls - just like yours. The "boss" struck down the idea of linacoustic, batting, etc... covered with fabric
Wow guys, I wish I was rich. LOL. Nice rooms.
are you painting your walls orange?
Yes, the walls ARE painted orange-ish color... Due to poor lighting conditions, the color on the picture is "little" off, though. I was pleasantly surprised when I turned on the rope light in the tray ceiling and the glow matched the walls almost perfectly!
Added some pics with seating - Berkline 088, manual recline.
Outstanding work - your level of detail is amazing. I too used several arches in my HT (a very nice touch) and can appreciate all of your hard work.
Keep the pix coming...
Awesome job Stan!
Your Berkline complete your room!
Looks great Stan. If you don't mind, what are the dimensions of your theater room?
Brian - I didn't get any email
Luke - 13'6" x 23' x 9'
Stan...how are the rope lights controlled....are they direct to a normal switch, or are they to a switched outlet up there? Is there a control box in the recess? I want to do the same....btw I just ordered wood today...will be here tomorrow and will begin my basement this weekend. VERY Excited to get started.
Jason - the rope light is plugged into a switched outlet. At this point, every light is on a dimmer, but I'm seriously considering getting a wireless solution (Lutron, X-10, or similar).
StanG: Very impressed dude, something like that is definately worth doing, with your rear seats do you have them raised at all? if so by how much?
At the moment I am renting, so cannot do mods like you have done. Very jealous! ehehe
