    I don't think it converts Pal to NTSC like Malata does, you better stick with that, they're about $240 and are universally hailed as the Holy Grail players of the world.

    My friend own a Shinsonic Multi Region with multi system output PAL/NTSC (no conversion). The picture quality is par to what you can expect from a $100 player

    Besides, I don't believe for a moment that the 7 DVDs they ship the unit with are legit.

    BTW, they just upped their package value.

    Now the $199 package includes:

    TEN movies and a microphone.

    See here, their cost of 10 movies: US$100, cost of el-cheapo mic US$10. That leaves them with US$90 for the DVD player, and they still have to make a profit of say $10. That means the player is US$80, which is exactly the same price of an el-crapola Apex (low-end ones).

    Skip this, get the Malata 520 (?). It does a great job converting PAL to NTSC.
