Thanks for the update. I have heard good things about the redbook version of this. Even though Alison is from Champaign, IL and a childhood friend of my daughter, this will be my first AK purchase.

    Joe,

Thanks for the tip. Rounder is taking pre-orders for $17.99 (plus $3.50 shipping and handling). I'd love to find it locally, but I suspect it will be tough.

    Marty,

Alison Krauss is from Champaign???!!! No wonder I like her so much! Alison and REO Speedwagon! Very cool! [IMG]

    P.S. Go Illini! [IMG]

Marty, one more thing. Does you daughter still keep in touch with Alison Krauss? Just wondering if free concert tickets and back-stage passes are in your future. [IMG]

Oh, you are missing out on great music. Alison Krauss is awesome!

Is it true that this is the first live non classical DSD recording? If so, this could really be a landmark in pop SACD releases!

If this sounds as good as the other Rounder SACDs we are in for a treat.

    I love Alison Krauss. [IMG]

Marty, that's really cool. I'd love to run into to Alison Krauss at a local mall. Not likely to happen where I live, though. [IMG]

Rich, you mean 'live' as in in concert in front of paying folks, right? Then I believe it is the first non-classical, non-Jazz one. I think Oscar Peterson/Ray Brown have a couple. There was a really good article about the recording with a link in a post at this forum a couple of weeks ago.

Keith, I would like to think that Tower would have it. They had the other Krauss SACDs where I shop.

It is certainly hard to find[with out using the net] many of the new ones though.

Joe, that's the best I can hope for. There are no Tower stores in Delaware, but I have a couple within an hour from me in New Jersey and the Philly area. The Krauss Live SACD will certainly be worth the trip.
