Who owns the rights to this, and will there ever be a DVD? Its available on VHS, but I would kill for some commentary from some of these absolute all-stars (the ones that are still alive). This is one of my all-time favorite childhood mini series.

Columbia TriStar owns the rights, but, oddly, Warner released a VHS tape of it back in 1995.

Columbia has released the miniseries QB VII and The Blue and the Gray on DVD, so a release for this one is plausible.

I don't see this as being a high priority for release, IMO. Although I enjoyed it immensely when it was on TV, most of the stars in it are no longer "names" and there are already several versions of the story on video. I wouldn't count your chickens.

I want this on DVD so badly. It's my absolute favorite adaptation of Alice in Wonderland.

Searching for information on Dreamchild, I came across this thread. Any news on this yet?

The songs are incredible by the late Steve Allen. The memorable performances include Carol Channing as the Wite Queen, Jayne Meadows as the Queen of Hearts and Red Buttons as the White Rabbit. We need A DVD release!!!

I had this taped off of TV for several years (not sure what's happened to it). I used to really like it when I was younger; haven't seen it in a while, so I don't know whether it would still hold interest for me. But I'd probably be interested in giving it a try if a DVD is released.

I would definitely be interested in Dreamchild, though. I think MGM released the last VHS of this; not sure if they still control the rights or not.

I'd be interested. I always liked that version. It seemed to play it closer to the books than many of the other adaptations.

I saw this as a kid and really enjoyed it...kind of hold it as the standard by which to compare other adaptations. [IMG]
    I'd buy it on DVD!

I remember when this was on TV. I never got to see the second half because the power went out.
