That's okay casting, she plays a Ruskie quite well. I still have fond memories of her in "The Unbearable Lightness of Being".

I've never watched "Alias", but after seeing all the raving about it here, this bit of casting, and the fact that "X-Files" is now gone from Sunday evenings, I'll be watching it. Are they rerunning the first season this summer, like they do on some other shows?

Olin is married to director Lasse Hallström ("My life as a dog", "Cider House Rules", "Chocolat", "The Shipping News") by the way.

Yes, it's being re-run, but not in order so it might be kind of hard to follow some of the time.

I watched it last night, good show, even though it doesn't lend itself too well to just watching indicidual episodes, it seems. I'll try and follow it.

If you get the Family Channel (now owned by Disney), there are additional reruns there as well. Not sure, though, which episodes or in what order.

Thanks for the tip, Michael.
This sure feels like family channel material, by the way :rolleyes...

I know what you mean. :) But as the season evolved, the show turned out to be much more of a family story than I ever expected. A strange and dysfunctional family story, but that's what makes it interesting.
Maybe Disney/ABC is trying to shift the Family Channel away from its original emphasis. After all, they already have the Disney Channel for "family" viewing. Rebroadcasting Alias on a secondary cable channel is the same strategy that worked for Fox with their FX repeats of 24.
