I remember this being mentioned a while back but only as a very unbelievable rumor. Although Amazon has it up for pre-order they are notorious for jumping the gun.

I'm not going to buy it, but I think it's great that they are pumping out quality season sets in such a speedy time frame.

Will it be 16:9 widescreen like the HD broadcasts are?

I just posted the official press release for Alias S2 over at the site I help out at. It's frowned upon for me to post the link myself, but y'all know where it is.

Sweet! Buena Vista showing how a TV show should be released on DVD (quickly, not that expensive, nice extras). I think they really are trying to draw more people into the show and if that's the case, I think they're moving in the right direction.

Well, the only problem is that then people will be whining about how long it takes for Season 3 and beyond [IMG]

"What do you mean September? And Season 4 a year after that? WTF?" [IMG]

Let us go into the top 3 reasons why no one should get excited about this title [IMG]

    1- It's by Acclaim
    2- It's by Acclaim
    3- It's by Acclaim

They have been infamous since the NES days of turning out crap on a stick and doing it constantly.

I've missed Alias since it premeired. First I didn't know it existed, then it was too mired in continuity for me to start. I can't wait to get my feet wet.

I'll be Tivo'ing season 3, but since I have HD, I hope ABC runs a January rebroadcast of the first 1/2 of season 3.

Acclaim's done some good work with licenses. Particularly, Shadow Man, Turok and Star Trek.

Edit: Acclaim hasn't done Star Trek. i was under the impression they had done some genesis/SNES games, but apparently not.

Did Acclaim ever own ST? Activision's the one who's had it for quite awhile, and before that it was Simon & SHuster

I just hope they don't mess with the music in Alias. Especially the show that starts off with ACDC's "Back in Black" and Jennifer in Lingerie.
