I'd like to see this happen. I don't know if it's true or not, but I would buy the first 2 seasons, and tape season 3 to get caught up. Alias in HD would be nice [IMG].

I could see it happening; earlier there was a rumor about it even coming in October. Buena Vista probably figures 24 got a boost from its DVD release, and figures their hyperserialized show could benefit, too.

This is terrific news if amazon is accurate. I have no reason to doubt that they are not either. Usually when they stick something up it is accurate. They may have to take that down for pre-order though. Remember a few weeks back they had some fox stuff up early and had to remove it for pre-order until the studio officially announced them.

It's too bad the DVD release for season 2 won't fix what a lame season it was [IMG]

I'm more guessing this is an outgrowth of the previous rumor. Amazon is known for publishing hypothetical street dates quite often. While December is far more plausible than October, I'm still AMAZINGLY doubtful it will actually come to pass. The earliest I'd guess, especially based on Disney's previous patterns is March. That way they could keep the 6 month thing going and release season 3 in September 2004.

Yahoo posted a USA Today story here that talks about the explosive growth of TV shows on DVD. The article goes on to confirm that Alias S2 is coming on 12/2:

"Buena Vista is quickly releasing Alias Season 2 Dec. 2 to get fans caught up with the series during its third season."

    and the weird part:

"Due Tuesday are Alias Season 1 ($70) and Felicity: Season Two ($60), and classic soap operas General Hospital and All My Children are being prepared for release next year."

Alias S1 is still due on 9/2, right?

Does anyone have predictions on whether or not there will be replaced songs on Season 1 or 2? They have a lot of songs every week.

Adam is correct, HIGHLY unlikely the music wasn't pre-cleared
