Finally got a chance to watch the episode, and I was unusually put off by decisions that struck me as stupid.
a) Kendrick volunteers to send a tactical team into the merc shipping place in the desert. Syd suggests pulling info from the data recorder instead (which makes sense), but wants to just sneak in (which doesn't). Unless the concern was casualties?
b) In that situation, I wouldn't put the gun down. If Sloane insists on blowing the building up, that's great -- he's gone. If not, I'm not putting myself in a vulnerable position. I'd agree to let him walk out unharmed, but that's all. The only justification I can come up with here is concern for the rest of the people in the building.
