Finally got a chance to watch the episode, and I was unusually put off by decisions that struck me as stupid.

a) Kendrick volunteers to send a tactical team into the merc shipping place in the desert. Syd suggests pulling info from the data recorder instead (which makes sense), but wants to just sneak in (which doesn't). Unless the concern was casualties?

b) In that situation, I wouldn't put the gun down. If Sloane insists on blowing the building up, that's great -- he's gone. If not, I'm not putting myself in a vulnerable position. I'd agree to let him walk out unharmed, but that's all. The only justification I can come up with here is concern for the rest of the people in the building.

And Sydney's always been more compassionate, and doesn't cater to the acceptable "collateral damage" view of spy-work.

How about this for an interesting twist? Perhaps the real Francie was a KD spy all along, or perhaps working with Irina. And then along comes Sloan's Fake Francie, and the real Francie - being a bad-assed spy - takes her out. But to create the impression that Sloan has a mole in Syd's apartment, the real Francie takes on the personality of Fake Francie, but all along, she's the real Francie! Assuming this is true, what would real Francie's motivation be?

Anyone else think that sounds like the "real Rock Ridge vs. fake Rock Ridge scene from Blazing Saddles? LOL!
