A good friend who has been watching reruns of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour on the RTN network has become infatuated with the jazz theme background music by Lyn Murray and wonders if any of this music or his other music of that era is available commerically?

I know we've got a few serious musicologists of vintage TV in the forum, so if anyone has any knowledge on this, thanks!

Hollywoodaholic,

When I saw the thread topic, I thought you were going to be asking about the Gounod work (the theme for the show). ;)

I'm out the door in a few moments, but I'll see what I can find out. It may not be until tomorrow that I get the information together, however.

Just a quick glance reveals that Murray did the Suite for To Catch a Thief and The Black Curtain (the latter from The Alfred Hitchcock Hour / Alfred Hitchcock Presents). More later. :)
