A DVD with three 2-parters of the series ALF is coming out in Canada Tuesday. The DVD includes several special features, including commentary by ALF. Has anyone seen a review yet?

No, I haven't seen any reviews, and I'd be quite surprised if they appeared before Tuesday. Hopefully, I'll have my DVD by then. [IMG] [IMG]

I hope we can eventually look forward to the rest of the series. Two of these three episodes (originally aired as one-hour episodes on NBC) were clip shows.

Being an Alf fan, I'm assuming Canada is R1? Neverhad to import a disc before, so I don't keep up on the Regions. [IMG].

So, has anyone received this? Videoflicks.com still has a release date of Nov. 5 and my order has still not shipped. It somewhat worries me that they don't have the cover art scanned onto their site-one day before release.

Well, just like a few others, my Alf order has shipped. Wasn't sure if my US Amazon.com account and password would work with the canadian version, but apparently it does.
Looks like I'll be getting Alf, and Batman Vengance for the Gamecube arriving on the same day [IMG].

As soon as you get it, please post info. This whole release seems to be lacking in public info.

    Wow!
I never heard anything about this?!? I wonder why this is a Canada only release?
I hope they release all the episodes [IMG]

Yesterday my daughter was cleaning her room (throwing things away). She wanted to toss her stuffed Alf and an Ewok. I claimed Alf while my wife the Ewok. I too hope they release all the episodes. I have never, and never will, buy a best of set. One persons opinion of "Best Of" may not match mine.

I got mine from Playcentric yesterday. I was pleased with the quality considering it's a small studio release. Video looked much more detailed than what I was used to seeing from the Odyssey reruns. There's a commentary for the "Try To Remember" episode which is pretty funny, if not the most informative. ALF says some funny things, some of it's a bit off-color, it made me laugh. There's also cast biographies.

I really hope we get more DVDs, ideally complete season sets, but if not, more Best Of's would be welcome. The two clip shows are good, but just seeing bits here and there of episodes isn't as funny as the hilarity that ensued in normal week-to-week episodes. The Christmas special is good, if completely not representational of the tone of the rest of the show.

Nonetheless, who'd have thought we'd really be seeing ALF on DVD? I'm thrilled! It's great to watch it, since the rerurns seem to have disappeared from TV. I'm sure a major studio release could have been better in terms of quality, but I am entirely pleased with this VSC release.

I got mine today! Even if it took about two weeks [IMG].
Even better, I didn't remember the Christmas Special was on here, so if it's uncut, I don't need to keep my tape version around. Especially since Muppets Christmas and Emmit Otter are also on DVD [IMG].
