I just received my first two DVD-A's from AIX : Nitty Gritty and LAtin Jazz - all I can say is HOLY SMOKES (and other similar emphatic outbursts) I absolutely love them. My greatest interest is classical music though, and I would really appreciate some suggestions on which AIX classical titles to buy (from anyone...even an AIX employee - good business strategy)
Cheers to AIX - I am thrilled and impressed.

Bravo, Daniel,

I'm new to DVDA, but decided I might as well hook up my new Denon 1600 as I already had extra cables handy. The first two I ordered were exactly the ones you just got and I love them too. I really enjoy watching Nitty Gritty on DTS too. I just love their comraderie and true love of the music they're playing. I'll buy more from AIX in the future, perhaps one of their classical offerings.

Their Beethoven/Resphigi disc of the 6th Symphony and Pines of Rome, respectively, is amazing.

The Brahms and Chopin discs are excellent, too, but the small instrumentation can't sound as impressive in surround sound as a full orchestra.

Do these discs have discrete hi-rez stereo tracks? I seem to recall reading that AIX do, but I want to make sure. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replies you guys. How about the titles recorded in Bucharest - there are so many to choose from and I am shopping with financial aid money - need help deciding!
Thanks in advance.
