Just checked out how easy it would be to replace the battery in the AirPods. On a scale of 1-10 they got a zero.
  • AirPods are not designed to be serviced. No hardware components can be accessed without damage to the device.
  • Sealed-in batteries limit the AirPods' lifespan, making them a consumable/disposable item.

BTW, I’m being negative about the AirPods because I’m trying to talk myself out of buying them. Satan...er I mean Apple, get thee behind me. ;)

Really liking mine btw. I prefer the airiness of open back. I prefer the noise cancelling of my mdx1000s. But you can’t beat the convenience of always with you in your pocket.

Seems like I read that music can be adjusted thru an equalizer. But you have to use Apple Music to do that. Anyone know anything about this?

FWIW, I see a lot of people wearing AirPods at the local gym and in airports. The reports about them seemingly being everywhere...that’s my experience lately.

Do they stay in your ear when working out or jogging? Do they feel secure?

Sadly, I don’t get it.

That's a phone Qi charger. The coil is in the middle of the panel. It's designed to prop up your phone vertically so you can see when texts come in and other notifications while it is charging. The airpods don't fit on that, they would rest on the ledge at the bottom. "There I fixed it" by using a McDonalds McNugget sauce container which props the airpods into alignment with the charging coil.

Badabapaba, I'm loving it. (That's an old McDonalds tag line)

I went with another pair of earphones after considering these.

Problem I have with apple ear pods is they fall out of my ears. I always had to buy an additional product to put on the pods to keep them in.
The Yurbuds did this perfectly.

I ended up with a Bose product that’s has a little rubber thing that goes into the ear and they stay in plus they are water resistant.

The other thing I like is they are wired to each other and have a little clip that I can use to attach them to my shirt on the back of my neck.

Very comfortable and gives me 7-8 hours on a charge.

I must be obvious that I don't have any kind of wireless charger. If I had been observant I would have noticed the green light.

How about a link?

More questions about rechargeable batteries. I think I've read that the number of recharges which are often referred to as cycles are the chief limiting factor in their lifespan. So I use the AirPods for 2 hours and put them in their case. Is that a cycle?

They do for me (all out sprinting with our dogs, stopping, bending to pick up their ball, etc.) What I should also point out is that they are indeed the same size as the standard wired iPhone EarPods, but they kept popping out of my ears, because the wires would continually get caught in subway turnstiles, doorknobs, other people on mobbed subways, etc. - all these problems disappear with the AirPods.
