I hope this is not too much of a newbie question:

I noticed that my Panasonic Tau flatscreen 32-SX12 has the 'AI sound' option greyed out in the menu. I'm not sure why this is, since this model _is_ supposed to have it as a feature. I didn't see anything in the manual about this, and I couldn't enable it in the menus.

Does anyone know how to turn it on, or is my TV defective?

    From my 53wx42 manual:

AI Sound - Equalize overall volume levels across all channels. (AI sound is not available in VIDEO mode).

Leaves me to wonder what it's for also.

Does it work when using the set's tuner?
This feature is intended to prevent huge volume increases when commercials come on when watching regular tv, presumably through the set's tuner or a cable box connected to the RF input.

    Thanks for the responses everyone!

I checked it out again tonight, and apparently AI sound only works with the tuner (which makes sense, as someone pointed out).

    Thanks again,
    Leslie
