advise on mc-1 trade in (1 Viewer)

i just bought an mc-1 for 1800...i am thinking of trading in for an mc-8...the whole transaction would cost me 1800 and no tax....would appreciate opinions...does the difference inboth units warrant 1800...the only significant differnce for me would be for dvd audio input...

Are you saying that someone will give you an MC-8 in exchange for a used MC-1 and another $1800? So you'd have an MC-8 for a total cost of $3600?

Considering that the MC-8 lists for $6K, and Lexicon offers dealers a $3K credit for the MC-1 in trade, I'd say that's a steal.

If you do a search for posts about the MC-8, you'll find a number of comments, including mine. It's a superior unit to the MC-1, with substantial improvements in the Logic7 processing and much greater configurability. Whether the total difference is worth $1800 is something only you can judge. I spent more than that, and to me it was worth it.

Can you trade in an mc-1 thats already been traded in for an mc-8, again for an mc-8...(say if you purchased a pre-traded in mc-1 and wanted to get a mc-8)..

No, Lexicon's that were traded in on previous trade in programs could be traded in again, for this program Lexicon changed their normal trade in rules. But a unit can only be traded in once during this promotion.

How much longer is Lexicon going to be running this deal? I'd simply love to be able to 'get in' on getting a non-traded MC-1 and then trading it for an MC-8, but I don't think I'll be able to that for at least another two or three months..... :frowning:
