I currently have 2 NHT SW2si subwoofers, but unfortunately, one has a bad driver (they each have 10" drivers). I would like to upgrade the drivers in them, but I don't have a clue what driver would be an upgrade (and fit in the current enclosure), or what would work properly. Any suggestions, or just generally a bad idea? I really need to use the current enclosures or one of similar size (roughly 16" square) because of space constraints.

Your best bet may be to contact NHT and see about getting a replacement driver. IMO replacing drivers but keeping the same amp and enclosure is generally a bad idea.

I have contacted NHT about a replacement driver. Thanks for the advice, though. Any suggestions for a good DIY Sub that would have an enclosure of roughly the same size? Height and width are the only constraints, have plently of room for depth. Thanks in advance for all suggestions.
