I have a $2000 ceiling for a TV/display device and wanted to get some advice on what some of the contributors here would buy. Just wanting opinions.

I will be watching mainly Directv (normal, not HDTV at least yet), Especially NFL Sunday Ticket, DVD's, boxing, etc.

Viewing Distance will be 5-6 feet at closest, up to 15 feet. It will be in the family room which is 14 x 16 with the TV being pointed toward 16. Average viewing distance would probably be 8-11 feet.

Glare could be a problem as I do have a lamp opposite the television and a large window adjacent at a 45 degree angle from the TV.

45 degrees would be a worst case viewing angle as well.

I have a surround sound system.

Any thoughts/suggestions

I'm thinking about DLP, but am a little taken aback by the thought of replacing the bulb every 2-3 years. I'm willing to go with CRT maybe/DLP maybe/LCD maybe, but I'm really torn by the price of CRT versus what DLP could be.
