advice on 50" Plasma (1 Viewer)

A buddy of mine is in the market for a 50" plasma. he has the money to spend for a good one and doesn't want a sampo or one of those.

Panasonic TH-50PX25U is one that he's looked at, but I think he can do better.

What do you think?

Have him check out the Fujitsu 50 as well.....better picture than the Panasonic (IMO) and better warranty.

The Panny is a good choice (Pannys have good black levels). The Fujis are supposed to be Outstanding but pricey (I've never even seen one). Pioneer is supposed to make a decent 50" as well.

The Fujitsu is very very nice (the P50XHA30WS). It's actually based on the Panasonic panel, but has Fujitsu's upgraded electronics.

Pioneer's and NEC's have their supporters as well. He should try to view them before buying if possible.
