I was very surprised to find that a member of another forum found the venerable serial THE ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN MARVEL on DVD at Best Buy today. I went over to Amazon.com and sure enough, it is available. Was this title ever even announced? This is the best serial ever made, and I've never read about its release to DVD on any forum on the 'net.

Needless to say, I ordered a copy. I'll comment on the quality of the transfer when I receive it.

Larry, I recall seeing this announcement 2-3 months ago. I didn't realize it was out yet, so thanks for the 'heads-up'. I still have the Image 2-disc laserdisc version. Since that was a pretty decent transfer, with any luck, the DVD should look great.

Haven't found the time to sit down and watch it yet. Hopefully this weekend.
