This information is from Anime on DVD forum where ADV has a studio rep (dlw) who actually does answer fan questions.

The original poster was asking when Andromeda would be released and wanted to know about a boxset for Farscape. Here's David's response:

Word is that the Farscape set will have an MSRP of $149 in case anyone's interested.

My morbid sense of curiosity compells me to ask what kind of packaging the first season set of Farscape will end up with. My money is on the existing discs in a nice box, but I was wondering anyway.

Keep an eye on TVShowsOnDVD for info like that. Gord just posted his review of Farscape S2 V1, by the way.

According to Farscape World, six keepcases. Time to sell the old volumes!

Crap. I don't want to have to sell my current disc's and then buy the 6 keepcase version. I wonder if they will be receptive to just selling the cover inserts to some of us so we can buy our own keepcases?

Maybe we could exchange our old keepcases for the box with the new ones or they could sell us the box set with the keepcases and we can just chuck the old ones (if we send the proof of purchase or something lime that.) ADV sounds pretty reasonable but this sounds like a long shot. Time to start a thread in Studio Feedback section on this...

ADV has made boxes for box sets available to fans before

Chances are that if a demand is shown, they will again

Send emails to the address on their web page, and they will probably put together an offer

Thanks Jeff, it would be great if something got worked out for us fans who have supported Farscape on DVD by buying all 11 volumes already. Which address on the "About Us" page should we send our emails to?

I just left a message at ADV regarding getting a box for those who bought the indvidual discs. Here is the number if people want to call. 1-713-341-7100.

ADV sent a response to the email I sent them. So far, it looks like we're out of luck. Here is the reply:

Maybe if we all email this address, they will reconsider.

It's not that they need to reconsider

One thing that most people forget is that CS works on an "Insert Press Release Into Slot A" principle. Since they haven't even formally announced the box set yet, they're not going to announce their box set plan yet. Don't forget, they still have to set up distribution for it (probably via The Right Stuf) too.

Don't know how I missed this when it first came around. Perhaps someone who gets the new versions will be able to supply the cover art scans to Matt over at DVDCoverart. Then all we have to do is buy the double size keep case.

Sometime the simplest solutions are the best. I never even thought about that. Way to go Ric

    Yeah, here's a question though...

If there are 22 episodes per season for a total of 11 dvds... How do you end up with putting 2 DVDs in each double DVD case? That eleventh DVD is gonna cause a little problem. Since ADV is now releasing them this way, I guess it will be interesting to see what they do.

They'll probably just use a double alpha for uniformity,
Who knows, there could be a bonus CD or something in there (that is not insider info, just a guess I'm throwing out)
