I recently got Photoshop 6 and I have no idea how to use it to it's potential. I'm looking to create wallpapers and edit photos, just fun stuff. Does anyone know of any good sites with how-to guides and step by step instructions on how to use it's various features? Thanks for any input.

Read the manual is probably a good place to start

At least buy the Classroom in a Book for it.

I'm not quite to "If all else fails read the directions." yet, but it might be a good idea. It doesn't really tell you step by step on how to do things though. I just figured out how to make Lightsabers off TheForce.net, it's pretty cool. I'll probably get a book for it.

When I first started using PS, I went out and bought "Photoshop for Dummies." It's a good reference manual and an excellent read for anyone new to the program. I'm sure they must have a new edition out that deals with v6.

I'll second the recommendation for "Adobe PhotoShop Classroom in a Book." It's very well-organized and written, easy to follow, and it comes with a CD of photos to use in the "lessons."

Thanks for the links. Some of those Plug-Ins on DeepSpace are really cool.
