Adjusting convergence, green blurry halo... (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I have a Sony 61HS20.

I have been tweaking around in the service menu and noticed a couple things when adjusting convergence.

When the grid is up.....There is a dark green halo surrounding some horizontal grid lines. It very minimal on the left and right ends of the line, and gets progressivly larger as you move toward the center of the screen.

I would think that there should be no halo around the grid lines (is it possible?)

Patti,

cover the blue and red lenses then look at the green grid by itself. How does it look. If not uniform across the entire screen, you will have to do a mechanical focus and try to find a point where it is uniform in size across the entire screen.
