I have another question that relates here.

I am about to move to a new apartment and I don't want to run Cat-5 all over the place. My 2 PCs will be in the dining room while the cable modem will more than likely be based in the living room. Without running a cable from the living room to the dining room what would be the best wireless solution?

I currently have a netgear rt314 router.

The solutions that I have been thinking about are:
1) purchase a wireless router and a WAP. Connect cable modem to WAP in living room. 2 PCs wire to wireless router.
2) Purchase wireless cable modem and wireless router.

What other ideas do you have? And please let me know if my suggestions are not feasible.

Thanks.

i think i'd go the wireless access point/router. go 54g. then hook the computers up wirelessly. i'm doing sorta the same thing with the router/ap in my bedroom. (it's the only cable jack i can get the modem to work on). and my computer in the office with a wireless nic.
