Hi, I wonder if you guys can help me.

I'm thinking of adding a power amp to my denon 3802 (just for the front channels)

I've looked at the Denon POA 5200 (POA T10 in Europe) which would be a good choice because the sound will probably "match".

Or would the Rotel RB 1070 be a better choice?

I have the 3802 w/ the 5200 and it works great, however I wish I would of bought either a 5 ch. or at least a 3 ch. like the 8300.

I would wait awhile and get a parasound 1205A.

How is the music quality with the poa 5200? Is it a big improvement over "normal" 3802 listening?

Willem Vos,

I've got my 3802 mated with an Odyssey Stratos powering my fronts and I have been very pleased with the results! Once in my system, the Odyssey provided me with a *HUGE* improvement over the "normal" 3802 amps. Actually, it changed my ratios (pre-Stratos: 85% HT/15% music, post-Stratos: 90% music/10% HT)!!!

I have a Yamaha 995 and Kef Q series setup. Around Christmas I added a Rotel 1075, and was amazed by the improvement in the sound, especially for music. BTW Rotel just dropped the list price of the 1075 to $999.

Hope this helps.

Improvement was great on all fronts , primarly because the 3802 wasnt really suffient to run my 4ohm m&ks across the front.
