Add damping material to front wall? (1 Viewer)

Do I recall correctly that it's a good thing to add some damping material behind each front speaker as well as behind the center and/or TV?

I know we should on the side walls at the point of first reflection.

Jeff, you are correct, however the choice of material and the amount of damping or absorption is important. I can't say I know much about this subject but I'm learning. A great source for this info is on another site I peruse.
