What does this (from Adcom.com) mean?
I understand the pass through facility, but
what does "7.1 channel outputs" mean if the
preamp does not offer DD EX, DTS ES?
I looked at their "specs" page but the GTP-830
is not listed.

"The GTP-830 Digital Processing Tuner/ Preamplifier is ADCOM's first 7.1 channel home theater processor. It provides Dolby Digital and DTS decoding with 7.1 output channels, as well as a 5.1 analog pass-through for DVD Audio or SACD, and the RDS radio data system."
