I have bought an amplifier Adcom GFA 7807 (ex-demo, ebay auction).
One channel does not work.. the thermal protection led is on..

With instructions of Adcom service (very friendly!!), i have controlled the fuses.. OK! the fuses is working..
But.. with lateral panels removed and bottom plate separated from boards... all the channels work well !!!!!!

I have mounted the panels.. and... LEFT Front channel does not work!!

    Thanks

The protect light is on??? You have taken great care to check it out visually. Sounds like real component failure if so.

Many times with a protect light, a full visual inspection fully dissassembled will reveal what is going on, but not always.

With identical working channels, it should make for some fairly easy trouble shooting though as you can measure values back and forth to the failed one.

It sounds as if one of the components on the circuit board or the circuit board itself is somehow touching the metal plates. Examine things more carefully when you bring the plates together. Maybe all you need to do is gently move something out of the way.

Your english is fine and so is the wine.
