    What a great actor he was! I LOVED his work in "Yes Minister"/"Yes Prime Minister", which IMO is one of the funniest TV-series ever made.
    His movie work was also impressive, with memorable roles in "The Madness of King George" and "Richard III".
    He was also great in lighter stuff like "Demolition Man".

    I'm shocked to hear this.

    Yes, his work in Yes (Prime) Minister is hilarious, but he was a great stage actor too (which doesn't imply in the least that I wouldn't love the TV work!).

    Rob, you're right. This year has had too much.

    What a coincidence. I was watching Watership Down last night (on VHS, *gasp*). He did the voice for Captain Campion.
