Would anyone happen to know who makes their Subs for them?
My buddy has the AR-1's and had a driver failure.
And its just out of warranty, he'd rather not pay list price to get it replaced.
    Any help appreciated, thanks.

    Henry,

I happen to live near an AR service center. I had a pair of AR9's and have had to replace both a tweeter and a midrange speaker(not the big woofer though). All i did was drive to the service center and give them the defective driver and they would test it to make sure it was bad and then just give me a new one. Since your friend's is no longer under warranty I don't know what they will charge(I think they are pretty reasonable though). If you want i will dig up the address for the service center and send it to ya. Let me know.

    Dalton,
New AR9's (Hi Res) or Vintage AR9's ?
What went bad with the mid and tweeter? Were they overpowered
or clipped due to insufficiant power? Just curious.. I own
AR9's and I know I am underpowering them so I try not to
go too loud untill I get my Bi-Amp setup in place.
When I bought my AR9's I was missing one Spike for the
Cabinent Bottoms.. I emailed AR's customer Service and
had a reply by morning.. Scanned in the Receipt and they
sent me the new spike.. Well... The new Spike was for a
pair of NHT Towers (AR and NHT are under the same parent
company) I said wow I like the NHT Spikes a little better
so they sent me all new spikes! [IMG]
The NHT Spikes are nice billet aluminium jobs.. The AR Spikes
would have worked but I was able to raise (toe up) the front
of my AR9's more with NHT's Spike..
Anyway to make a long story short the service was super and
AR has a long warranty on thier products.. You should have
absolutely no problems getting a driver replacement..
