I would deeply appreciate it if any of you folks might be able to guesstimate the performance differences between these two subs. Here are some specs:
Considering that both of these have the same external dimensions...
ACI Titan II LE
Sealed design
single 12" long-throw woof
closed feedback loop
2 adjustable filters that can be layered to fine-tune roll-off. 250 watt amp
70 lbs.
Monitor Audio FB 212
modified 4th order "transmission-style" vent.
2 12" long throw woofs in a push/pull isobarik design
Variable Q control(.5 to 1.5)
360 watt amp
110 lbs.
Now, I can get these for about the same price, but will most likely be crossing them over to small vented bookshelves like ACI Emeralds. I realize that gut instinct would automatically tell ya to stick to the family brand, but if you eliminate that bias, do you think the Titan II will generally outperform the MA? My listening preferences are 50/50 HT and music.
