Why do some receivers have speakers "A" and speakers "B" hook-ups. What I mean is why is their two sets of front speaker connections?

A is usually used for your primary front L,R speakers. B is used for your speakers in another room or in your back yard. It is usually not recommended to use A and B at the same time.
