I have a Pioneer DD reciever and a old Magnavox DPL Reciever and i read on the web about hooking them together to create a rear center channel.
Does the Pioneer have to be a pre/processor to work or can i hook up the two recievers and it work.
Also ive seen the diagram but am a little fuzzy on to which outputs I plug to the Pioneer into the CD inputs on the Magnavox.

All you need to do is feed the rear RCA outs of your DD receiver to an input of the DPL receiver and set the latter for DPL. Set up the DPL receiver appropriately for large/small speakers, etc. Connect your speaker to the “center" amplifier output.

Any rear channel info that appears in both channels will be sent to the “new” center speaker, as with any analog signal receiving DPL processing.

It's not a discrete rear center channel, but it will work fine.
